Thomas Blom (Max Planck Institute for Mathematics): How to straighten any functor between ∞-categories
Abstract
In this talk, I will prove a generalization of Lurie's classical straightening equivalence for (co)cartesian fibrations: namely, I will show that any functor between ∞-categories can be "straightened". I will then discuss how this result can be used to recover Lurie's result as well as some variations on it. The proof makes extensive use of the theory of double ∞-categories, which we will explain and illustrate with many examples. If time permits, I will also discuss potential generalizations of this result.
